چکیده

Background: Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) is a universal health challenge all around the world. Several factors like viral load, genetic characteristics, age, sex, and immune status contribute to variable clinical outcomes of HBV infection. The sequels infection vary remarkably among persons ranging from spontaneous deletion persistent Objective: present study aimed evaluate association single nucleotide polymorphisms IL10-1082 with clearance. Methods: Sixty subjects Chronic (CHB) 60 who spontaneously recovered were enrolled in study. IL-10-1082 determined by Polymerase Chain Reaction Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (PCR–RFLP). Results: clearance demonstrated significant GG genotype (P = 0.03), while there was no other genotypes. Reduced risk chronic hepatitis associated (OR: 2.33, 95% CI: 1.07 - 5.09). Besides, A/G alleles did not differ clearly between two groups 0.07) Conclusions: may be reduced CHB recovery after

Association of IL-10 rs1800896 (-1082 G/A) gene polymorphism and susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in Northeast of Iran

Background and objectives: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a complex and systemic inflammatory disease in which the immune response is disturbed. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the promoter regions of regulatory cytokines including interleukin-10 (IL-10) may lead to exacerbated immune response and increased risk of RA. Here, we aimed to assess the association of IL-10 -1082 (G/A) (rs180...

Impact of IL-10 (−1082) Promoter–Single Nucleotide Polymorphism on the Outcome of Hepatitis C Virus Genotype 4 Infection

UNLABELLED Immunoregulatory cytokines may influence the hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection outcome. This study aimed to determine the genotypic and allelic frequencies of the interleukin (IL)-10 (-1082) G/A polymorphism, and its association with chronicity or resolution of HCV genotype 4 infection in Egypt. The frequencies of different dimorphic polymorphisms based on single nucleotide substitut...

IL-10-producing regulatory B cells in the pathogenesis of chronic hepatitis B virus infection.

A regulatory subset of B cells has been found to modulate immune responses in autoimmunity, infection, and cancer, but it has not been investigated in the setting of human persistent viral infection. IL-10 is elevated in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus infection (CHB), but its cellular sources and impact on antiviral T cells have not been addressed. We investigated the role of IL-10 and...

The Absence of Hepatitis C Virus Infection Among Patients with Hepatitis B virus in Mashhad, Iran

Background and Aims: Many studies have provided evidence for the role of hepatitis B and C viruses in the development of liver cancer. Although the routine treatment is available for both conditions, no definite guideline is available to treat patients dually infected with HBV and HCV. This study was performed to determine the frequency of HBV/HCV-coinfection in Mashhad, North-East of Iran. Mat...

Is the Polymorphism at Position -1082 of IL-10 Gene Associated with Visceral Leishmaniasis?

BACKGROUND Immune responses play critical roles in the leishmaniasis eradication. IL-10 is a key regulator of immune responses, and the polymorphisms within its promoter region are associated with alteration in its expression. Therefore, this study was designed to examine the correlation between polymorphism at the -1082 position of the IL-10 gene and visceral leishmaniasis (VL). METHODS The ...
